Therapist for End-of-Life Support

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a skilled Therapist for End-of-Life Support to join our team.

The role involves developing skills within palliative care across Acute, Community, and Day Hospice settings. You will have access to structured clinical supervision as professional development is a high priority along with the expectation that you will supervise and support colleagues, junior staff, and students.

Main duties

  1. Navigating the fast-paced nature of facilitating fast-track discharges home for patients within the Acute Hospital setting, where home is their preferred place of care.
  2. Using therapeutic activities to provide advice and techniques that empower patients' self-management of symptomatic relief.
  3. Supporting patients with advanced care planning and promoting quality of life up to and until end of life.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, health insurance, and opportunities for career development.
