Job Description:
We are seeking a Newly Qualified Teacher to join our team of supply teachers in Hemel and St Albans. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing cover supervision and qualified teaching services to Primary schools.
About the Role:
- Supervise work pre-set in accordance with school guidelines and ensure it is completed to the best of students' abilities
- Manage pupil behaviour while they complete their work and maintain a constructive and positive environment
- De-escalate situations within the classroom, adhering to safeguarding procedures and behaviour policies
- Collect and return work at the end of lessons and report any safeguarding concerns using school referral procedures
Requirements:
- Currently working towards or has completed teacher training (QTS & PGCE)
- Aspiring to become a class teacher with experience working with children and young people
- Ability to create positive relationships with pupils and staff members to foster a supportive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Confidence in front of a class and handling potential behaviour issues
- Flexibility and adaptability to different situations regarding lessons and year groups
- Right to work in the UK
