Machine Shop Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Manager to join our team at Candidate Source Ltd. You will collaborate with all departments to ensure that organisational objectives and production goals are met. Your key responsibilities will include implementing manufacturing strategies and action plans as directed by the Managing Director, planning and managing daily production in line with the order book and future projects, programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, managing and developing a multi-skilled, flexible, and motivated team, and implementing lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency. In addition, you will be proficient in CAD/CAM software and have a strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment, up to 5 Axis. You will also have proven experience managing or supervising a team and strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the machine shop

  • Program / offline program using CADCAM software

Requirements:
  • A strong background in CNC/high-level manufacturing environments
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment, up to 5 Axis
  • Proven experience managing or supervising a team
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

What We Offer:
  • A salary of £45,000 - £62,000 pa
  • Company pension
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 37.5 hours per week, with overtime available at 1.5 times the hourly rate
