About the Role:

Castle Academy is seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our SEN Unit Department. As a Teaching Assistant - SEN Support Specialist, you will work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. Your key responsibilities will include supervising and supporting children in the classroom, delivering interventions on a 1:1 or in small groups, and promoting independence and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Supervise and support children in the classroom
  • Deliver interventions on a 1:1 or in small groups
  • Promote independence and inclusion


Requirements:
• Experience of working with children with additional needs
• Ability to motivate children and support their learning effectively
• Experience of leading interventions in small groups or on a 1:1
• Good communication skills
• Calm, nurturing personality
• Positive, 'can-do' attitude
