Job Title: Account Director

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Account Director to join our team at TheCityUK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts, delivering against renewal and upsell targets, and working closely with the Commercial Director to develop and implement bespoke plans to maximize engagement and value from these accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts to secure renewals and grow the value secured from the accounts.
  • Deliver against renewal and upsell targets for the portfolio.
  • Work with the Commercial Director to develop and implement bespoke plans to ensure maximum engagement and value from the accounts.
  • Build relationships at various levels within our accounts, with a particular focus on internal account managers and senior executives.
  • Ensure all data and insight is effectively gathered and recorded in the CRM.
  • Act as a champion for the portfolio of accounts internally and with key stakeholders, ensuring member interests are well represented.
  • Establish TheCityUK as a 'best in class' account and relationship management business.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in an account management role, ideally in financial services and/or trade body organizations.
  • Commercial focus, with experience of growing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
  • CRM experience.
  • Good relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • A robust and up-to-date understanding of the wider financial services industry, including key issues affecting member businesses across market issues, regulation, and politics.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment, with developed processes to manage own activity.
