Job Opportunity:

Are you an undergraduate student studying Engineering, Mathematical or Applied Science? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Complex Warheads Centre of Excellence in Bolton.

About the Role:

This 10-month placement will involve working on real-world engineering projects and technologies, applying your university learning to complex warhead systems. You will work closely with highly skilled engineers, using tools such as CAD design software and finite element style hydrocodes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Predict the lethal performance of various types of missile systems through modelling of missile terminal engagement, target detection, Warhead detonation and lethal performance prediction.
  2. Work on concept assessment using modelling simulations and analyse and assess performance data collected during trials.
  3. Collaborate with other MBDA departments across the UK and Europe.

Requirements:

  1. Currently studying for a degree in an Engineering, Mathematical or Applied Science subject area.
