Warhead Engineer - Undergraduate Placement

We are seeking a talented undergraduate to join our Complex Warheads Centre of Excellence in Bolton, UK. As a Warhead Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of our warhead systems, working closely with experienced engineers to predict the lethal performance of various missile systems.

About the Role

This 10-month undergraduate placement will provide you with the opportunity to apply your university learning to real-world engineering projects and technologies. You will work on a range of tasks, including:

  • Predicting the lethal performance of missile systems through modelling and simulation
  • Designing and developing warhead systems using CAD software and finite element analysis
  • Collaborating with other departments across the UK and Europe on complex projects
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a motivated and talented undergraduate with a degree in an engineering, mathematical, or applied science subject area. You will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and a passion for problem-solving. As a team player, you will be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment and communicate complex ideas clearly.
