We are working with our client, a leading international manufacturing company, to find a Product Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a section of the company's product portfolio and commercial planning to improve margin, revenue, and pricing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the product portfolio lifecycle to ensure the addition of new products for business growth.
  • Serving as the global product expert, knowing each product's application, features, and unique selling points.
  • Understanding product sales, margins, pricing, and performance across markets, regions, and key customers.
  • Maintaining competitive knowledge of each product to ensure effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Identifying customer needs and translating them into clear product specifications for development.
  • Building business cases for new products, collaborating with sales for forecasts and pricing, and with development for cost targets.
  • Leading sales and marketing strategies, defining product launches, pricing, and supporting sales teams with training and materials.
  • Working with production teams on phase-in/out plans and facilitating initial orders.
  • Ensuring product development stays on track, addressing specifications and decisions as needed.
  • Monitoring product performance, gathering feedback, and providing ongoing support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in product development or project management in an engineering environment, be commercially aware, and have product development experience.

They will also be able to collaborate with multiple departments for one common goal and have a degree or equivalent in engineering or business.
