Job Summary

The Directorate General Manager of Emergency Care is responsible for leading the emergency services team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This critical role involves strategic planning, operational delivery, and management of emergency care services to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, staff, and external stakeholders to drive service improvements and innovation in emergency care
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve service goals and objectives

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to lead our emergency services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare management experience, particularly in emergency services, with a proven track record of leadership and service development.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject
  • Evidence of ongoing professional/managerial development
  • Managerial qualification
  • Professional/managerial development in a relevant area to masters equivalent

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Masters in management or equivalent
  • Experience in unscheduled care and scheduled care
  • Site management experience (minimum 8a)
