Job Title: Contract Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Contract Underwriter to join our team at Jems Recruitment Ltd. As a Contract Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting and approving a pipeline of mortgage and loan cases from application to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite cases and consider customer needs
  • Assess loan documentation, request additional information, and chase information from third parties
  • Carry out checks and assess loan suitability
  • Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications
  • Work within company risk appetite, policy, and criteria
  • Liaise with third parties, including solicitors and valuers
  • Oversee cases through to offer and completion
  • Adhere to internal underwriting policy and regulatory requirements, including FCA, Money Laundering, and Data Protection

Requirements:

  • Experience of underwriting within mortgages or secured loans
  • Excellent career growth opportunities
