Job Title: Literacy Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Literacy Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in literacy or English education, with experience in intervention or tutoring.

The successful candidate will work with students who may struggle with literacy, providing targeted interventions that promote both academic progress and confidence. This role is essential for students who need additional support to improve their reading and writing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement tailored intervention plans focusing on reading comprehension, vocabulary expansion, and writing skills, aligning with each student's unique needs.
  • Regularly assess students' reading and writing abilities, tracking progress over time, and adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with English teachers and the SEND team to identify students who would benefit from additional literacy support and integrate lessons that complement classroom learning.

Salary Estimate: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
