About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a fast response, stepped care, primary care psychology service, under supervision, to patients of General Practitioners at the nominated surgery/surgeries.
  • To plan, organise and teach psycho-educational courses covering a wide range of psychological knowledge and skills.
  • To make follow up phone calls to patients.
  • To maintain and forge community links as directed by the Head of Service or deputy.
  • To develop and maintain a resources bank for the use of the whole team.

Requirements

  • Qualification as a PWP (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) OR eligible for accreditation with the BPS/BABCP as a PWP OR eligible for accreditation as a CBT therapist with the BABCP and registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Proven experience of working effectively with adults who have experienced a mental health problem.
  • Awareness of stepped care approaches.
