Financial Operations Coordinator

Role: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the finance team in our Cheshire office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of finance functions.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a basic understanding of accounting principles and VAT regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are handled efficiently.
- Assist in preparing VAT returns and other financial submissions.
- Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensuring accurate employee payments.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and assist in implementing effective internal controls.
- Liaise with suppliers and resolve any finance-related queries.
- General administrative tasks to support the finance team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance assistant role.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and VAT regulations.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 + Benefits
