Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Selfridges. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of our concession department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the concession department, including identifying opportunities and risks, and making informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a high-performing team, providing regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Concession Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with concession partners, working closely with the Concession Manager to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the concession department is meeting its targets, and implement action plans to address any areas for improvement.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working closely with the wider Selfridges team to develop and implement plans to drive growth and revenue.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, providing coaching and guidance to team members to drive performance and change, and leading by example to inspire and motivate the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a retail or concession environment.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members, concession partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
