About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Work Pack Engineer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Work Pack Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of piping systems on our major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients and leads to ensure design requirements are prepared and understood prior to commencement of design.
  • Consult and assign the appropriate design category with temporary works based on the risks presented by the design, ensuring that any residual risks are included in the design brief.
  • Ensure compliance with legacy documents and grow the TWs discipline, including voids and openings designs.
  • Assist the execution team in pre- and during-erection of bespoke design structures.
  • Ensure that a design check is carried out by the appropriate parties (for CAT 2 and CAT 3, these must be external to the Temporary Works Designer(s)).
  • Ensure that the design is made available to relevant external parties (e.g. Principal Contractor) where appropriate to do so.
  • Register or record the drawings, calculations, and other relevant documents pertaining to the TW design.

Requirements

  • Experience working on major construction projects with a proven track record of working in a highly regulated sector.
  • Previous experience within a role relating to work packs.
