About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cedar Care Homes Ltd. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing excellent food service to our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef in meal preparation, plating, and serving.
  • Prepare and heat up breakfast items and serve as required.
  • Heat up or bake prepared supper food and serve as required.
  • Prepare sandwiches as required by the Chef.
  • Provide necessary crockery, cutlery, trays, and serving utensils.
  • Ensure serving trolleys are clean and well-presented before transportation to floors for serving.
  • Thoroughly clean all serving trolleys after each meal.
Requirements
  • No direct kitchen experience is required, as we provide training for the role.
  • A background in Customer Service or a People-Oriented Environment is desirable.
  • Individuals who can adapt well to working as a team and independently.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Evidence of having undertaken relevant training, such as health & safety and food hygiene, is beneficial.
