Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Shrewsbury, United Kingdom. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' daily lives, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful social interactions
  • Assist with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework
  • Accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, or social events
  • Provide personal care support, including assistance with bathing and dressing
  • Support clients with medication management as directed
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions
  • Collaborate with other care team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and organisational policies
Requirements
  • Right to live and work in the UK and be 18 of age or older
  • Full driving licence and access to a fully insured car
  • Warm, empathetic nature with a genuine passion for making a positive difference in people's lives
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reliability, responsibility, and ability to work flexibly
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a care setting
Benefits
  • Guaranteed hours contracts
  • Pay rates from £12 - £13.50 per hour depending on time of day
  • Double Pay on all bank holidays
  • Minimum of 35p per mile
  • Paid travel time
  • Paid wait time
  • All mandatory training paid at £12 per hour
