£131,922 + car allowance and attractive benefits
Torus, the North West's largest affordable housing provider and one of its biggest and fastest-growing developers and commercial contractors, is seeking an experienced Group Finance Director to join its Group Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial control of a £200M+ turnover business, ensuring the group meets its annual financial targets and key performance indicators. They will also be responsible for delivering business outcomes, targets, and key performance indicators to support delivery of the corporate plan through strong financial management, budgetary control, and project and business planning.
The Group Finance Director will have responsibility for defining and maintaining compliance with the Corporate Business Plan and assumptions, and Finance Strategy Golden Rules. They will also be responsible for compliance in all areas relating to tax, pensions, rent setting, treasury management policy, and loan covenants.
As a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), the successful candidate will bring to Torus a track record of leading financial control activities in a comparably complex structure. Experience of the social housing sector is not essential, although we are looking for a financial leader who will inspire and motivate a large team and build strong relationships across a group which is focused on achieving our mission of Growing Stronger Communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the group meets its annual financial targets and key performance indicators
- Deliver business outcomes, targets, and key performance indicators to support delivery of the corporate plan through strong financial management, budgetary control, and project and business planning
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of budgetary and statutory accounts and returns
- Have responsibility for defining and maintaining compliance with the Corporate Business Plan and assumptions, and Finance Strategy Golden Rules
- Have responsibility for compliance in all areas relating to tax, pensions, rent setting, treasury management policy, and loan covenants
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA)
- Track record of leading financial control activities in a comparably complex structure
