Job Summary

As a Battery Test Engineer at EVolve, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and production of high-performance electric vehicle battery packs. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough testing and validation of battery modules and cells to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run in-line and end-of-line production tests for modules following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Safe handling of batteries and supporting hardware electronics through test phases
  • Raise inconsistencies or anomalies to Test Engineer or Battery Systems Engineer
  • Conduct visual and manual inspections of components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Document and record test data accurately and promptly
  • Support traceability of tested batteries and supporting hardware electronics from birth to completion
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Understanding of electrical engineering/electronics is preferred but not essential
  • Basic understanding of CAN signals and communications between devices is preferred
  • Basic understanding of wiring diagrams is preferred
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Basic understanding of machinery operation and maintenance
  • Previous experience working with battery cells, modules, and packs is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment is preferred but not essential
