Process Engineer

Cranleigh Scientific Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join its R&D team in Leicester. As a Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and developing new technology for the manufacturing site, ensuring safety requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop new technology for the manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and enhance product quality.
- Innovation and Technology Development: Develop innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes and ensure best practices are adopted throughout the organization.
- Project Delivery: Deliver projects within budget, scope, and safety requirements.
- Technology Industrialization: Design, develop, and industrialize new and existing manufacturing technologies from various stages of the TRL scale.
- NPD Introduction: Introduce new products to the factory and optimize the process.
- Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a safety-first culture based on human relations and develop individuals through effective coaching.
- Qualifications: Degree-level qualification in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong 3-D CAD (SolidWorks), 2-D (AutoCAD) experience, and proficiency in statistical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience: Proven Process Engineering/Manufacturing experience, with a strong track record of delivering engineering projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and reporting skills to all organizational levels.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in data-driven problem-solving and process risk and hazard assessment tools.
- Continuous Improvement: Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Kaizen.
