Placement Student Finance, Costing and Inventory
We are seeking a motivated Finance Placement Student to join our team in the Power Systems Business segment. During your placement, you will gain valuable experience in finance and develop the skills needed to become an expert in the industry.
This role is ideal for students who qualify for a placement year and are looking to gain hands-on experience in finance.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Prepare journal entries for month-end close and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Item cost setting and product cost consolidations, and material variance analysis including actions to resolve issues.
- Inventory valuation and provision assessment and support Annual Physical Inventory and audit cycle count processes.
- Contribute to the annual standard setting and cost roll process.
- Support monthly current cost process and bridge key month on month product cost movements.
- Maintain internal control documentation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant degree.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data.
- A desire to work in finance in a manufacturing organization.
