About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Sustainability Champion to drive impactful change through innovative investments and sustainable grant-making.

As a key member of our team, you will take a lead on our finance and investments, including chairing meetings related to our endowment and philanthropic impact investment fund. You will also contribute to grant-making decisions and our Climate Change Collaboration programme.

You will attend quarterly trustee meetings, annual AGMs, and various investment committee meetings. This voluntary, non-executive role requires strategic vision, collaborative skills, and the ability to dedicate approximately 14 days per year.

About You

You will bring a wealth of expertise in managing impact investment portfolios that deliver environmental, social, and financial returns. Knowledge of sustainability sectors, particularly renewable energy, and early-stage business investments will be highly valued. Previous experience in charity governance and an understanding of trustee responsibilities are essential.

This role requires passion for tackling climate change and delivering innovative solutions. You should have a commitment to the Nolan Principles of public life and be able to demonstrate your knowledge and skills in a portfolio career context.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a voluntary, non-executive role with no benefits package other than the opportunity to drive meaningful change and develop your skills and network.
