EnerMech is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our Finance team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for project accounting duties, including monthly accounting entries, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare timely and accurate business line accounting entries and reports in line with monthly and quarterly project timetables.
  • Review Profit & Loss statements and liaise with project managers to ensure accurate financial information.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist business lines with forecasting updates and variance analysis.
  • Capture and safeguard project risks and opportunities, mitigation plans, and savings plans are properly calculated and disclosed at project reviews.
  • Close working with assigned business lines to assist with management and reduction of WIP, Accrued Income, Aged Debt, and other KPIs.
  • Assist and support stock and fixed asset counts.
  • Prepare company VAT returns and other taxation requirements such as Intrastat & EC Sales Lists.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a project or management accountant role in a medium-sized business.
  • Wide knowledge of practical daily operations of an accounting team.
  • Experience working with integrated ERP business management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • QBE, Part Qualified, or Qualified accounting certification.
