Job Opportunity:

Hutcheon Mearns is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of projects and providing timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Develop and implement financial controls to ensure project financial integrity
  • Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including VAT returns and other taxation requirements
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial information is accurate and timely

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a project or management accountant role in a medium-sized business
  • Wide knowledge of practical daily operations of an accounting team
  • Experience working with integrated ERP business management systems
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
