Job Title: Agile Maintenance Engineer

Velocity Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Stafford. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of plant and production equipment, as well as participating in an on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out routine maintenance tasks for all buildings, plant, and production equipment.
  2. Work collaboratively with a team of two on required shifts.
  3. Participate in an on-call roster to ensure seamless service delivery.
  4. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with equipment.
  5. Ensure adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices.
  6. Support management and supervision to oversee engineering subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
  7. Maintain accurate logbooks, shift handovers, and client reporting.
Person Specification:
  • Possess mechanical qualifications from a recognized institution (NVQ/C&Gs).
  • Desirable experience in multi-skilled disciplines (electrical, fabric, water hygiene, painting, and carpentry).
  • Demonstrate comprehensive mechanical experience, undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Show ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Estimated salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
