The Job Itself

A permanent 14-hour vacancy has arisen in the Member Services department within the Pensions Section based in Goole due to internal promotion. The hours are to be done over two days, Monday and Tuesday.

To be successful in this role, you will require experience in the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme and a good understanding of complex legislation and terminology.

You should possess good organisational skills, be able to work on your own initiative, and be able to work as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential, as we strive to provide a high level of service to our members.

The Section uses an IT-based Local Government Pension Scheme administration system in conjunction with an electronic document management system (EDMS) and electronic workflow monitoring together with word and excel packages. It is essential to have good IT skills and a good standard of education including Maths and English.

We are seeking someone who would be happy working in a busy environment, committed to meeting deadlines, achieving targets, and assisting our members by providing a high level of customer service at critical points of their lives.

Salary Details: The estimated salary for this role is around £43,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
