Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Cardiology Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) and ambulatory monitors to diagnose and manage cardiac conditions.
- Conduct exercise tolerance tests (ETTs) to assess cardiovascular function and identify potential issues.
- Develop and maintain technical competencies in areas such as pacemaker follow-ups, cardiac catheterization lab, and ILR or intracardiac monitor interrogation and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the efficient running of the technical service by prioritizing daily workload and identifying equipment faults.
- Deputize for senior cardiac physiologists as needed and undertake additional duties at the discretion of the Operational Manager & Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
- Hold a BSc (Hons) in Cardiac Physiology or Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
- Have significant experience working within a Cardiology Department.
- Demonstrate competency in performing and analyzing ECGs and ambulatory monitors.
- Have knowledge of professional codes of conduct and guidance by the professional body for Physiologists.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be IT literate and adaptable.
- RCCP registration or relevant qualifications to attain this.
- ILS Certification.
