Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Specialist to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients with acute, weaning, and chronic respiratory conditions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting registered nurses in delivering holistic care and ensuring the highest standards of patient comfort and well-being.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a hospital setting, working at NVQ level 2 or equivalent. You will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Main Responsibilities:
- Assist registered nurses in maintaining patient hygiene and grooming, including personal care and mobility assistance.
- Support patients in managing incontinence and promoting continence.
- Record dietary intake and assist with meal preparation as needed.
- Prevent pressure sore development and implement safe handling practices.
- Obtain specimens from patients for ward or laboratory testing.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- NVQ level 3 willingness and capability
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in a hospital setting, working at NVQ level 2
Knowledge:
- Highest standard of patient care reputation
Skills:
- Effective interpersonal relationships development
- Basic computer skills
Estimated Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum,
dependent on experience and qualifications.
