Regional Construction and Commercial Director

We are seeking an experienced Construction and Commercial Director to lead our construction programme across the Eastern region.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maximising the effectiveness of the commercial function on our construction activities, including quantity surveying, estimating, procurement, and material buying.
You will lead our 3-year build programme, ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget, to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving clear strategy on operational delivery across both the commercial and construction functions.
- Preparing construction budgets, project plans, and schedules.
- Monitoring costs and progress made, producing timely reports.
- Leading and motivating the team to achieve the budget set for each project, whilst also ensuring all policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are adhered to.
- Providing advice and guidance, sharing your knowledge and experience to support the team and individual colleagues to achieve their professional goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience at a senior level within the housebuilding industry from either commercial or construction functions.
- Expert knowledge of commercial activities including surveying, estimating, and procurement.
- An appropriate construction, surveying, or technical degree (HND minimum), along with detailed knowledge and understanding of current building regulations, construction methods, and products.
- Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction, Construction Law, and Health & Safety regulations is highly desirable but not essential.
