Nursery Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team in Gloucester. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working with young children and a desire to gain new skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for children to learn and play.
  • Undertake observations and ensure learning journals are kept up to date to track children's progress.
  • Supervise meal times to ensure children's dietary needs are met.
  • Be a key person to a small number of children, providing emotional support and guidance.

Personal Attributes:

  • Sensitivity and understanding when interacting with children and their families.
  • The ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Thinking and reasoning skills to make informed decisions and solve problems.
