We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at a modern and pupil-centred Secondary School in the Borough of Lambeth, South West London.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the SEND, Pastoral, and Safeguarding teams to address the additional needs of students and reduce barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor students with SEND, SEMH, and Safeguarding requirements
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, including Work Experience Placements, Learning Skills Centre, and Colleges Links
  • Plan and run group sessions and 1:1 sessions addressing the needs of students
Requirements

We are looking for a graduate with an interest in mental health and wellbeing, who is passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and giving them the best opportunities possible.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.

We offer a competitive daily rate of £105-£115 and a full-time, full-academic-year contract.
