Apprentice Building Surveyor

A dynamic and rapidly expanding company based in the UK is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, including materials, quantities, labor, and time.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports and financial statements.
- Advise on procurement strategy and risk management.
- Collaborate with the team and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop a high-level understanding of planning and programming to ensure accurate progress reporting.
- Utilise specific processes and procedures on projects to maximise returns in terms of profit and service level.
- Establish and maintain accurate and robust reporting structures and monitor resources and costs to ensure that projects meet and/or exceed targets.
- Previous experience working as a commercial manager / quantity surveyor.
- Ideally will have trained with a main contractor.
- The ideal person will have 2 to 3 years of experience post-graduation.
- Graduates could be considered for this role; however, you would need commercial experience gained on day release.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with a 3-hour lunch break.
- Some hybrid working can be considered.
