Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Highway Development Manager who can provide expert advice on transport assessment and input throughout the development process. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a case load of predominantly minor sites and support senior colleagues on more complex projects.

You will work closely with statutory, voluntary, private agencies, and communities to secure highways and transportation mitigation for development proposals. This includes conducting packages of transport analysis or assessment work, negotiating with developers or Local Planning Authorities, and identifying other funding sources as necessary.

What You Will Need

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of interpreting and writing technical and non-technical reports
  • Effective negotiation with internal and external organisations
  • Knowledge of the planning process as it relates to highways and transportation

Salary Information

The salary for this position ranges between £34,350 and £37,950 per annum (pro rata for part-time). We offer a competitive benefits package, including flexible working hours and opportunities for professional development.
