Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate male professional to support children with autism and complex needs in a special school in Harborne.

This is a full-time role that requires the ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your initiative when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with autism and complex needs.
  • Implementing strategies to promote social skills development, communication, and emotional regulation.
  • Assisting with academic tasks and supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum.
  • Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with autism and complex needs in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your initiative when required.
