About the Role
The Vehicle Electrician will be responsible for the servicing, repair, maintenance, and overhaul of vehicles and electrical equipment, including diagnostic and inspection duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out work to the required standard and specification as detailed on the job card in accordance with customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, processes, and other approved technical publications.
- Diagnose, inspect, and assess vehicles and associated mechanical or electrical equipment in line with skills and competency.
- Ensure all job transactions are accurately recorded and carried out in accordance with current ERP processes, and work completed and time taken to complete the job is submitted daily to the department or section Supervisor.
- Completion of vehicle and equipment documentation and test certificates or reports to current standards.
- Ensure stores and equipment issued to job are used for their correct purpose and un-used or new faulty material is returned to the section or department Supervisor as soon as it is identified.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Hydraulics experience.
- Dealership or Local Garage experience.
- A real team player with the ability to adapt and build rapport.
Qualifications
- Must have completed recognised Military or Civilian training in the relevant trade discipline or a recognised accredited Apprenticeship in relevant discipline.
- Attained at least one of the following minimum academic qualifications: City and Guilds Level 1, 2, and 3 (in the relevant trade discipline), ONC (in the relevant trade discipline), NVQ Level 3 (in the relevant trade discipline).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
