We are seeking a highly ambitious and organised Deputy Director to help lead our organisation forward. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team that champions the writer in every child.

As a Senior Leader, you will be responsible for driving successful fundraising and trading income, while also understanding how our communications can support this growth.

About the Role

This role requires a confident and organised leader who can work closely with the Director to continue the growth and resilience of our organisation. You will have strong financial management skills and be able to bring the best out in our team.

You will enjoy working in a supportive, busy and fun environment and be motivated by our commitment to champion the writer in every child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to drive growth and sustainability.
  • Work closely with the Director to develop and implement organisational goals and objectives.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners and community groups.
  • Develop and implement effective communication plans to engage and inform stakeholders about our work.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as business or education.
  • Significant experience in leadership and management roles, preferably in a non-profit sector.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
