Energy Risk Manager

Job Summary:

The Energy Risk Manager will be responsible for evaluating and managing energy risks within the Asset Management team of Nuveen Infrastructure. This role will involve executing Power Purchase Agreements and structuring revenue management of Nuveen's portfolio, navigating multiple technologies and power markets. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a diversified energy portfolio from a risk perspective and participate in BESS revenue model definition and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate and structure PPAs for assets under management
  • Support Investment Team with due diligence reviews on offtake structures
  • Manage relationship with key offtakers and market access providers
  • Participate in BESS revenue model definition and execution
  • Negotiate Route-to-Market agreements for operational and to-be-built assets
  • Build a diversified energy portfolio from a risk perspective

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or similar fields or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 2+ years of renewable asset-backed trading or portfolio management at a utility, bank, fund or trading house
  • Good knowledge of global power markets and embedded risks
  • Experience in originating and structuring corporate/utility PPAs
  • Fluency in at least one European language, as well as English, is an advantage
  • This role is based in central London, with limited travel anticipated
