Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our integrated neighbourhood team. As a key member of our team, you will provide mental health expertise and work closely with health and social care services to deliver better quality outcomes for individuals.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining current evidence-based knowledge of functional and organic mental health disorders and treatments available
  • Providing skilled mental health advice to service users, carers, and professionals
  • Working collaboratively with adult and older people's mental health services as needed
  • Developing and delivering training sessions for GPs, primary care teams, and social services on topics related to mental health

Main Duties

You will be responsible for:

  • Working as a member of the integrated neighbourhood team
  • Developing close working relationships with local teams to step up or signpost as clinically indicated
  • Providing formal and informal training to enhance the skills of staff in diagnosis and management of mental health disorders

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC Registration
  • Experience in a community setting (desirable)
  • Essential car user
