About the Role

Mencap is seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team in Redruth. As a Relief Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
  • Support individuals in their own home, including assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support.
  • Participate in activities such as going to fitness clubs, boating, and walks.
  • Support individuals to attend their volunteer jobs.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
