About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for leading by example and being an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading by example and being an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
  • Recognising talent and nurturing junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
  • Using your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs
  • Enjoying autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
  • Providing day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
  • Contributing to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
  • Accountable for motivating and educating your peers within the multidisciplinary team
  • Being willing to work flexibly across different shift patterns covering a six-day service and participation in the departmental on-call rota if required

About Us

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital is a state-of-the-art hospital located in the heart of London. We offer a wide range of services, including cardiac services, orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services. Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 Specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres and Endoscopy and minor ops theatre. With 28 consultation rooms, Cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit and full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray.
