Job Title: Investment Product Analyst

We are seeking to hire an Investment Product Analyst to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving business and product development initiatives.

This includes working closely with marketing, legal, compliance, reporting, and operations teams.

The Investment Product Analyst will require a "hands-on" approach and a deep understanding of the asset management business.

Schroders Systematic Investment (SSI) is a leading quantitative equity desk in the UK, managing approximately £17 billion of assets.

The Product Management team plays a crucial role within SSI, enabling our portfolio managers to concentrate on research and investing by taking charge of managing the business of Systematic Investments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing client reports and reviewing presentations on market and portfolio performance, and investment strategy updates
  • Developing detailed product knowledge and applying it to create marketing content
  • Conducting competitor analysis to determine comparative advantages and relevant peer groups

New Business Development:

  • Taking ownership of completing RFPs (Request for Proposals) to a high standard, tailored to answer client questions
  • Assisting in the development and production of presentations for client pitches

Business Management:

  • Supporting business strategy by maintaining and analysing assets under management (AUM), strategy, and fund flows, and business profitability

The knowledge, experience, and qualifications you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field
  • Client service or product management experience within the asset management industry with a primary focus on equities
  • Strong reasoning and analytical ability, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for continuous learning and staying abreast of industry developments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

The knowledge, experience, and qualifications that will help:

  • CFA Charterholder (or equivalent) or progressing towards CFA designation (or equivalent)
  • Programming skills in Python and/or SQL
  • Experience with working in an agile environment that emphasizes flexibility, adaptability, and continuous improvement
