About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Mentor for Children with Disabilities to join our team at Midland Mencap. As a Volunteer Mentor, you will work closely with children and young people with learning disabilities or additional needs, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people with disabilities to participate in sessions and activities
  • Encourage children to get involved and have fun while promoting social and emotional wellbeing
  • Facilitate creative and inclusive activities that cater to diverse needs and abilities
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants
Requirements
  • Creativity, patience, and approachability
  • A willingness to learn and work within guidelines set out by Midland Mencap
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team
