About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Education Support Professional to join our primary school in Haringey borough. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to support a Reception-aged boy with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will have prior experience managing challenging behaviours, including tendencies to spit and hit, and be able to provide a calm, patient, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 with a child in Reception, providing tailored support to meet his individual needs.
  • Employ strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviours and encourage positive interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure consistency in support.
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for the child.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with Autism and managing challenging behaviours.
  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to learning and behaviour management.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education.

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
