About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre. As an HGV Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring repairs are carried out according to Volvo's high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, including alternative fuel systems such as LNG, hybrid, and full electric vehicles.
  • Work on a range of systems, including alternative fuels, and ensure that all repairs are carried out to the highest standard.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • City and Guilds, an NVQ3 or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry, or have equivalent experience, along with relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • General level of computer literacy.
  • Basic working knowledge of vehicle technology.

  • Salary of up to £18.50 per hour and £1000 joining bonus.
  • Overtime at time and a half Monday – Saturday. Double time on Sundays and bank holidays.
