About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture Director to join our team at Sportradar. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and delivering our Enterprise Architecture, driving technical cohesion and standards across our global engineering teams, and providing technical governance across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Enterprise Architecture strategy for Sportradar, aligning with business objectives and ensuring technical excellence.
  • Design and deliver API/Platform strategy, working closely with business stakeholders to define architecture for large programmes of work.
  • Shape the technology platforms for our internal and customer-facing systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Drive technical standards and governance across the organization, promoting best practices and innovation.
  • Lead and inspire the Architecture community, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
About You
  • You are a seasoned Architect with a strong track record of designing and delivering complex technical solutions.
  • You have experience working on programmes that span multiple business units, with a deep understanding of technical and business requirements.
  • You are a pragmatic practitioner, able to balance idealized solutions with real-world constraints, and a strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills.
  • You have a strategic mindset, able to keep long-term goals in sight while delivering today's needs, and a hands-on approach, with a clear focus on delivery and what drives the organization forward.
Requirements
  • Strong Architectural experience with a variety of modern technologies and platforms.
  • Experience working on programmes that span multiple business units.
  • Track record of coaching and mentoring technical teams.
  • Experience with modern methods such as DevOps, Domain Driven Design, and Agile Product Delivery.
  • Working experience with one or more of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant architectural experience with a range of items from Machine Learning / AI, Streaming architectures with Kafka and Flink, API Engineering and Enterprise Data Modelling, Microservices and Serverless Architectures, Cybersecurity, and Container Orchestration.
