Job Title: Visionary Headteacher for SEN Primary School

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Headteacher to lead a dynamic and successful primary Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Dudley, West Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving school improvement, ensuring exceptional educational outcomes for all pupils, and fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational leadership and clear strategic direction to the school.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management and smooth running of the school.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs.
  • Lead and support the development of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding policies, and best practice in SEN provision.
  • Work closely with the MAT to align the school's objectives with the trust's vision and values.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher within an SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEN and experience working with children with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and sensory impairments.
  • A track record of leading school improvement initiatives and achieving positive outcomes for pupils with SEN.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire staff.
  • Strong knowledge of current educational legislation, SEN policies, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders, including pupils, staff, parents, governors, and external partners.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
