Production Manufacturing Lead

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our production team in the Heat Treatment industry. This is a permanent role based in Surrey, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of 3 to ensure customer requirements are met, plan and execute production schedules, and prepare equipment for accurate production settings.
- Perform some hands-on work within the factory, including loading and unloading furnaces when necessary.
- Manage works orders using the production system and ensure costs are recorded accurately.
- Communicate with customers regarding job completion dates and provide technical input into sales quotes or new jobs.
- Work with internal stakeholders to achieve quality standards required by the industry.
- Collaborate with the line manager and sales manager to drive business growth through sales and efficiency improvements.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience working within the heat treatment industry, with a strong background in metal processing.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and focus on achieving goals.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to relay information internally and externally.
- Proficient in IT skills, including use of ERP systems.
- Relevant team leader or supervisory experience.
- Self-driven team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Salary: Circa £46,000 per annum, plus discretionary yearly bonus based on company performance.
