Job Summary

FireAngel Safety Technology is a leading home safety technology specialist seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to join their team in Gloucester. As a key member of the financial and accounting team, you will be responsible for assisting with UK statutory and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all invoices are logged and approved appropriately.
  • Process Purchase invoices through SAP.
  • Check and update supplier statements monthly.
  • Reconcile purchase ledger control accounts.
  • Prepare payment runs ensuring correct authorisation of all invoices.

General Ledger Responsibilities

  • Prepare accruals & prepayments.
  • Assist with month end reporting and close.
  • Prepare and post authorised month end general ledger journals.
  • Monthly Inventory & consignment stock reconciliations, agree to logistics.
  • P&L variance analysis.
  • Nominal ledger reconciliations.
  • Landed costs reconciliations.
  • Update landed cost sheets for incoming stock and processing on SAP.

Cashbook Responsibilities

  • Post of purchase ledger payments.
  • Bank reconciliations.

Other Duties

  • Prepare Intrastat & EU Sales for the Netherlands & Czech Republic.
  • Job Share Payroll responsibilities regards preparation and submission.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Credit Control and Finance skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Accounting proficiency.
  • Experience with Petty Cash management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of financial software and tools.
  • Relevant certification or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting.
