About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Director to join our team at Lanpro. As a key member of our Planning Division, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our company and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning projects and coordinate and oversee project delivery to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to drive business growth and success.
  • Provide technical input and guidance on planning submissions, appeals, and other projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Manage and develop junior team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure their growth and success.
  • Contribute to the development of the Planning Division's core competencies and assist in the day-to-day management of the team.
  • Participate in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform complex technical and professional activities, ensuring compliance with SHEQ procedures and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Requirements
  • Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) with a degree or Masters in a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in the planning industry, including direct management of staff or leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present at senior levels and across a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong client management and resolution skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage contracts.
  • Expert project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
