Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the planning team
    • Develop and implement plans to achieve business objectives
    • Manage and mentor team members to ensure their professional development and growth
  • Business Development
    • Nurture existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and revenue
  • Technical Expertise
    • Provide technical input into projects and bids, leveraging knowledge to identify new opportunities
    • Manage the delivery of complex planning submissions and appeals, including acting as an expert witness
  • Team Development
    • Support the technical development of staff and assist in gaining professional accreditation
    • Provide senior leadership within the Planning Division, ensuring adherence to professional standards and continuous development

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • An RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline
    • A chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
  • Experience
    • Proven track record of success in a leadership role, with experience in planning and development
    • Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities
